National Justice Museum and City of Caves Win Tripadvisor® Travellers’ Choice® Award 2024
The two city centre attractions have been recognised as a traveller favourite for the third year in a row.
Two iconic Nottingham attractions, the National Justice Museum and the City of Caves, are pleased to announce today that they have been recognised in Tripadivsor’s® Travelers’ Choice® Awards for 2024. The award honours businesses that consistently earn great reviews, placing them among the top 10% of listings around the world on Tripadvisor.
As the world’s largest travel guidance platform, Tripadvisor has unparalleled authority with travellers and diners. This award is based on genuine feedback from anyone in the community who has visited and left an authentic, first-hand review on Tripadvisor over a 12-month period, making it a valuable and trustworthy designation of great places to visit.
“It’s a huge boost to receive Tripadivsor’s® Travelers’ Choice® Awards for both the National Justice Museum and the City of Caves, especially as this is the third year we have received one for the museum. It really is a testament to our fantastic team who work so hard to bring real stories of crime, punishment, and social justice to life. It’s always uplifting to see the wonderful reviews our visitors leave on TripAdvisor, and to have our venues in the top 10% of worldwide attractions is a fantastic achievement” said Victoria Reeves, CEO of the National Justice Museum
“Congratulations to the National Justice Museum and the City of Caves on their recognition in Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards for 2024,” said John Boris, Chief Growth Officer at Tripadvisor. “Travelers’ Choice honours businesses that consistently demonstrate a commitment to hospitality excellence. This means you have made such a memorable impact on your visitors that many of them took the time to go online and leave a great review about their experience. People rely on Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice seal to help them navigate the myriad of things to see, eat and do across the globe. We hope this recognition continues to drive business to you in 2024 and beyond.”

About the National Justice Museum
A visit to the National Justice Museum tends to stay with people long after they’ve left. A museum of crime, punishment, and social justice, they are based in the Grade II* listed Shire Hall in Nottingham. Over five floors, the museum houses a Victorian courtroom, Georgian gaol, and cells that date back hundreds of years.
As you explore their historic spaces, you'll meet costumed characters ready to share real stories from the history of the gaol. The actors also re-enact historical court cases, linked to the themes of their latest exhibition. If you're feeling brave, you can even attend daily hangings in the exercise yard!
In their free exhibition spaces, explore themes of modern social justice, inspired by artefacts from their vast collection. Find out more on their website – nationaljusticemuseum.org.uk
