KS2 Outreach – Victorian Crime & Punishment
LOCATION: NORTH WEST
Can’t come to us? We can come to you!
Meet the Victorian prison warder who has travelled out of the Victorian prison to explain how crime was punished in Victorian times.
As new recruits you will learn hands-on what it was like to be a Victorian prisoner, while you explore a cell and the items within it.
- Participate in various interactive hard labour tasks to experience how pointless and unproductive they were.
- Take part in the initiative test where objects are passed around and you are asked what you think they are and how they are used.
You’ll learn how children who had committed crimes could be given the same punishments as adults and will be able to identify the different punishments that could be used.
