Guilty?! - A National Justice Museum Escape Room
£26 per person, 4-6 people
A brand-new multiple-choice escape room from the National Justice Museum!
It’s 1831 in Nottingham. King George IV died the previous year and King William IV is yet to be crowned, triggering the dissolving of parliament and a general election that leaves the city on the brink of riots. The Reform Bill leads to civil disturbances across the country when The House of Lords blocks a motion by parliament to give more men the vote than just nobility and landowners.
You find yourself in Nottingham’s Narrowmarsh, a cramped, smelly slum rife with criminal activity. The local constable has found you at the site of a Reform Bill riot where a local pub was set ablaze. You have been accused of a crime - if found guilty, the punishment is hanging.
Over the course of an hour, you and your team will move through our Grade II* listed Georgian museum, from the slums of Narrowmarsh, the exercise yard, and the gaol. Solve puzzles, and gather your evidence before deciding – will you stand trial and try to prove your innocence, or will you try to escape your fate?
Suitable for ages 14+ (Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult over 16 at all times)

The whole experience was amazing although a little intense at times, and after speaking with friends who had done other escape rooms before, they confirmed that this one was like no other.
Intertwining Nottingham’s rich history into the game adds another layer to an already fun format. Compared to many escape rooms, which confine players to a small room or two, Guilty?! makes excellent use of the centuries-old gaol, courtyard and accompanying spaces.
With different endings depending on what you decide, this innovative element brings a choose-your-own-adventure charm that puts you in the driving seat!

Our games master’s presence ended up being one of my favourite things about the whole experience... probably my favourite museum-escape room crossover
Important information
Please read fully before your visit
We look forward to welcoming you to the National Justice Museum for Guilty?! A National Justice Museum Escape Room. Please arrive at least ten minutes before your game is due to start so we can brief your group. You will be greeted on the steps by our team member. The game is designed to last one hour. Delaying the start time of your group may impact the following group, and so late arrivals may not be admitted.
All bookings are non-refundable and we do not accept cancellations. If you find you need to reschedule your booking, please contact us at least 48 hours before your booking and we will do our best to find an alternative date (subject to availability).
We recommend wearing flat, comfortable shoes for the game. The Museum can get cold during the cooler months, so you may want to bring a coat during cold or wet weather.
Please note that due to the limited accessibility of our Grade II* listed building, some areas of the game are not accessible for visitors with limited mobility. If you have specific access needs, please get in touch and we will be happy to talk through your needs.
You will be accompanied by a Games Master at each stage of the game. The game takes place in our museum, an authentic Georgian gaol. Items which are part of the game will be clearly marked or indicated to you. At no point in the game do any items need to be forcibly opened or broken open.
No professional cameras, video recorders, photography, or any form of audio-visual recordings are allowed unless prior written permission has been granted.
We want to keep this game a fun experience for everyone and reserve the right to refuse entry to or end the game early for visitors who arrive inebriated, behave inappropriately with our staff, or are otherwise disruptive. The actors will not touch you, so please do not touch them. There will be no jump scares during the game.
And most importantly – there are four potential endings to the game (or five if you include running out of time). We ask you to keep any details about the puzzles secret, so that more people can enjoy the game!
