CRIME CLUB

The Nottingham Witch Finder

Join us for the spooky season edition of Crime Club as our Head Historic Interpreter delves into Nottingham’s past connection to witchcraft.

Hear tales of local man John Darrel, Curate of St Marys Church, who accused 13 women in Nottinghamshire of Witchcraft: a crime punished in multiple ways including burning at the stake and hanging. We will discover what a Witch Finder was looking for when searching for evidence of Witchcraft, and hear tales of the people of Nottingham who were accused of Witchcraft and even Wizardry.

Real crimes. Real stories. Real evidence.

Join us for the latest instalment of Crime Club on Wednesday 2 October, a chance to discover more about infamous crime cases from history. Free drink included!

Tickets £14 full price/£12 concessions* – Booking essential.

This event is suitable for over 18s only, proof of I.D. may be required. Please be aware that some of the material covered may be sensitive in nature.
