We're Covid secure
Have a great day out with confidence at The National Justice Museum and City of Caves.
We follow best practice for dealing with Covid-19. And our staff and volunteers are briefed daily on Covid-19 measures so that you remain protected.
Take the following steps when you visit...

Social Distancing
Only visit the museum and City of Caves individually, or with members of your own household or support bubble in line with the latest guidelines set by government.
Follow our signposted, one- way system and keep within the recommended distance of others. Wait for smaller or busy areas to clear before entering.

Test and Trace
We support NHS Test and Trace will ask for you for details to help stop the spread of Covid-19. These will be stored for 21 day in line with government requirements.

Face Coverings
Face coverings are compulsory when you visit museums and visitor attractions. Please ensure you always wear yours.

Hand Sanitizer
Hand sanitizer is available throughout the museum. Please ensure you use it regularly.

Cleaning
All areas of our sites are cleaned regularly.

Contactless Payments
Use contactless payment whenever possible.

Feeling Unwell?
Follow the guidelines and don't visit if you feel ill.

Lift Access
If you need lift access to the museum, call us on 0115 952 0555 and we will help you plan your visit in advance.
Secure working
We maintain daily groups, or bubbles, of staff who do not mix. Each bubble member takes part in a daily team briefing emphasizing the importance of regular hand washing and hand sanitizing. Staff wear face coverings, full-face shields and always keep two metres apart.
All areas of the museum and City of Caves including staff areas, are rigorously cleaned. We check staff are health and safe before they come on-site.
Other measures:
- Protective screens have been installed in the cafe, shop and at the information desk.
- Interactive exhibits have been switched off in some areas, and hand sanitizer is near those that remain open.
- Please use NHS Test and Trace service when you arrive on site.
